History of changes to the program for making backup copies

Below, we present a current list of improvements and modifications made to the program and of tasks we are currently working on. At the same time, you are encouraged to report your comments and suggestions for changes.

  • Closing zombie connections (Network Monitor->Ongoing Connections), which over time could lead to FBS Server instability due to memory shortages

  • Improved handling of open and locked files with NTFS compression enabled. In Windows 10 and 11, such files could trigger an "Invalid compressed size" error.
  • Fixed a bug related to delta file merging during recovery. If one of the fragments was deleted (e.g., by antivirus software), the recovery process would hang.
  • If the selected archive on the Recovery tab was inaccessible (due to an unavailable network share, file locked by antivirus software, etc.), an "Invalid data" error was generated. Now, the exact cause of the error is provided.

  • Added support for open and locked files with NTFS compression enabled. Previously, such files were skipped with the error "(COMPRESSED)."
  • Fixed a second disk monitoring-related bug that caused backup freezes and generated "Invalid path" errors on some computers.
  • Fixed a bug in the SMTP server settings window for sending administrative alerts, which reset the port number to the standard port.
